THE Worthing Herald understands the name of the teenager who died at West Worthing railway station yesterday (Thursday, November 24) is Dan Hoare.

At about 3.17pm, paramedics were called to the railway station amid reports a man had collapsed on the platform of the station.

The Sussex Air Ambulance helicopter landed half a mile away. A spokesman confirmed a teenage male suffered a suspected asthma attack and died at the scene despite the efforts of the helicopter doctor and paramedic.

Dan is believed to have come from Chichester, and his family used to manage a pub in North Street, as well as run a sandwich business. His mum Jackie is a former advertising rep for the Chichester Observer newspaper.
