A PARISH council will discuss an upcoming appeal tomorrow (June 12).
East Wittering and Bracklesham Parish Council will hear details of the appeal by Wates Developments for 50 homes at the end of Beech Avenue.
Chichester District Council threw out the plans for 50 homes on the land North of Beech Avenue, stating the location was ‘unsustainable’ with ‘inadequate transport, infrastructure and a lack of employment opportunities’.
Councillors also raised concerns about land to the north of the site, also owned by developers Wates, and suggested 50 homes could be just the starting point.
The appeal will be in the form of a planning inquiry and is set to take place on July 16 and 17.
The parish council meeting begins at 7pm at Bracklesham Barn tomorrow evening where the upcoming inquiry will be discussed.
