Hermann Hreidarsson is to be the subject of a fans’ Q&A session as part of his Fratton Park return.

The Pompey favourite is bringing over his IBV team for a friendly on Tuesday, April 16.

Among the line-up will be David James, who yesterday joined the Icelandic side as player/coach.

Hreidarsson is also expected to feature, despite nowadays serving IBV as their manager.

The event will help raise funds for the Pompey Supporters’ Trust, with all profits donated to them.

As part of the occasion, Hreidarsson will meet with fans 24 hours earlier on Monday, April 15.

To be held in the Victory Bar, supporters will be offered the opportunity to pose questions to the 38-year-old.

Expect some unusual responses from the ever-unpredictable Hreidarsson, who established himself as a cult figure during his four-and-a-half seasons at Fratton. In addition, organisers are hoping to seal the presence of a second recent former Pompey favourite.

That is still to be confirmed, although it is expected to be someone other than James.

There will be a £5-per-person charge on the door for those who wish to attend the Q&A, with the event starting at 7.30pm.

Hreidarsson will also be signing autographs and memorabilia, with all profits going towards the Trust. In the meantime, tickets are continuing to sell encouragingly for the friendly match with IBV.

The finishing touches are still being applied to the Pompey line-up for the friendly, with several ex-players also hoped to be recruited.

New hospitality packages assembled by the Trust will be on offer to supporters.

For £30 per person or £300 for a table of 10, fans will be able to enjoy a two-course buffet meal in the Victory Bar and an executive seat in the South stand for the game.

Standard seats are priced £10 for adults, £5 for seniors (60+) and young persons (17-22).

For juniors (under-17) it is price at £1.

For more information on the match and to buy tickets online visit the club website portsmouthfc.co.uk.

The game takes place on Tuesday, April 16 (7.45pm), with only the Fratton end and South stand open for business.
