Pagham are back up to fifth in division one of the Sussex League thanks to the Murfins.
Scott scored two and Neil got the other as the Lions overcame Lancing 3-0 at Culver Road to remain six points behind the leaders Redhill.
But our other two local first-division sides didn’t fare so well.
Selsey crashed 3-0 at Shoreham - beaten by three goals inside 15 first-half minutes.
Chichester were also three-goal losers but they managed two themselves - Ken Hagan and Morgan Forry netting late goals in the 5-2 loss at Horsham YMCA.
In division two, Mat Collino’s early strike looked like earning Midhurst victory over Little Common but a late Lewis Hole equaliser denied them. Gary Block’s team remain fifth in the table.
The third-division title race continues to be hotly-contested between Barnham and Sidlesham after both scored four.
Barnham were 4-2 winners at home to Billingshurst - Ash Harper and Matt Noble scoring two each - while the Sids won 4-0 at Billingshurst thanks to strikes to Sean Newman, Dan Bassil and Dean Platt (2).
Action in the West Sussex League included a 2-0 win for Bosham over West Chiltington - the Reds remain top of the premier division.
There’s lots more of the same to come on Easter Monday, when Sussex League games kick off at 11am and West Sussex League matches begin at 3pm.
Top fixtures include Selsey v Pagham and Chichester v Arundel.
Don’t miss the Observer - out on Thursday - for all the Easter weekend local football action.
