A HANDBAG was stolen from a car whilst a mother was picking up her children from school yesterday (March 18).
At 3.15pm a brick was thrown through the window of a vehicle parked at Lavant C of E Primary School and a handbag was stolen from inside.
A similar incident occurred on the same day on West Stoke Road where a handbag was stolen from a vehicle which was left unlocked, again when a mother picked her children up from school.
A Chichester Police spokesman said: “Message to all parents, grandparents and guardians - when collecting your children from school please remove your valuables from your vehicle and ensure your vehicle is locked to avoid becoming a victim of crime.”
