Fears of a David Connolly injury absence have been allayed.
The in-form Pompey striker was forced out of the action at half-time in the 2-1 victory at Crewe on Saturday.
Connolly had netted in the first half – his second consecutive goal for the Blues.
Yet a whack on his calf ensured he had to be substituted, with James Keene replacing him.
However, after being assessed by Pompey’s medical team yesterday, the problem is settling down.
And Connolly is expected to be available to face Bury this weekend.
The 35-year-old missed four matches last month with a hamstring injury.
But in a boost for Pompey, the striker will not face a spell on the sidelines over his latest problem.
Meanwhile, Shaun Cooper is expected to return to full training today.
The on-loan player has missed the past three matches after injuring his hip against Carlisle.
During that time, his loan from Crawley was extended for a second month as caretaker boss Guy Whittingham kept faith in the versatile performer.
Cooper will now be in the frame for Saturday’s visit of the Shakers.
There are no other injuries to report following that Alexandra Stadium triumph which ended the Blues’ 23-match winless run.
However, Sam Sodje is still sidelined as he serves the final match of his three-game suspension.
Pompey’s squad will be without Keene, who has returned to Elfsborg in Sweden after a two-month loan spell.
Whittingham must now weigh up whether to bring in a replacement striker on loan or promote from the youth ranks. His squad is currently down to 18 players.
