POLICE have today (Tuesday, February 26) appealed for witnesses after a 13-year-old boy was assaulted and robbed in Selsey.
The incident happened on Tuesday, February 19, just after 7pm as the victim was walking through Manor Green Park.
He was approached by a group of teenage boys all wearing black. The group pushed him from behind and he fell to the floor.
While he was on the ground, the suspect repeatedly kicked the victim.
They rifled through his pockets, removing various items including a Blackberry Curve 9320 mobile phone, cash and a set of blue and white headphones.
The victim suffered minor injuries and was shaken.
Detective Constable Mike Mckee said: “I am keen to talk to anyone who saw any suspicious activity in the area on the 19 February.
“If anyone has been offered similar items for sale in recent days please make contact with Sussex Police.”
