PLANS to redecorate and improve Witterings Library will see it shut for four weeks.
The branch, on Oakfield Avenue, will close at 1pm on Friday, March 1, to update its entrance hall and install new self-service machines.
It is part of plans to modernise the service by helping readers borrow and return books and items themselves.
Witterings Library will then reopen at 1pm on Wednesday, April 3.
Lionel Barnard, county council deputy leader, said: “Readers will still be able to borrow up to 20 books before the library shuts or use the other branches in Chichester, Selsey or Bognor Regis.”
