MORE than 230 people in Chichester were caught out for not having a television licence in 2012.
TV Licensing this week revealed the annual figures which compared with more than 350 in Bognor Regis and more than 530 in Havant.
The average evasion rate was just over five percent.
Spokeswoman Victoria Sykes said:“The data shows evasion remains at historically low levels, with the overwhelming majority of people ensuring there are correctly licensed. In order to be fair to the law-abiding majority who do pay for their licence, we’ll continue to pursue the small minority of people do not pay.”
