The Rocks slipped to their first league defeat on the road for eight months at Kngstonian - but there was brighter news for a couple of our local Sussex League sides.
Jamie Howell and Darin Killpartrick’s team lost to a 44th-minute penalty scored by Andre McCollin after a foulr by Craig Stoner that saw him harshly sent off.
A twist of fate for the Rocks saw them sacrifice their normal penalty taker Ashley-Paul Robinson to bring on sub keeper Tom Boyle - only for them to be awarded a second-half spot-kick themselves, which James Crane didn’t put away.

In the county league, there was a rare win for Chichester City, who beat Ringmer 2-1 on the day they offered local people free admission in an effort to show how they are trying to rebuild the club.
Julian Boniface and Ken Hagan were City’s scorers, their strikes in each half sandwiched by a Scott Marshall goal for Ringmer.
Selsey also won - their 3-0 victory at Redhill coming thanks to a Graham Bush double and an Omar Bugiel goal.
Pagham had no game today but visit Chichester next Saturday.
In division two goals by Michael Asare and Luke Sheldrick couldn’t prevent Midhurst falling to a 5-2 home defeat to Storrington.
Sidlesham’s division-three visit to TD Shipley was postponed because of a frozen pitch.
