FIREFIGHTERS from across the district were called to the pub in Oving Road in the early hours of this morning (October 19) after the blaze broke out.
The call came in at 2am, and fire engines from Chichester, Bognor, Havant, East Wittering, and an aerial ladder from Worthing all attended the scene.
The fire is now extinguished, but one pump is still at the site and the cause is being investigated.
A first floor bedroom and roof have both suffered smoke and heat damage, in addition to smoke damage to the rest of the pub.
No one was in the building when the fire crews arrived at the scene.
