Fishbourne Flames dominated from the outset and were able to control the flow of play as they beat Solutions 40-9.
From each Flames centre pass, Tina Murden ensured the ball was transported to the Flames’ end efficiently and reliably.
Liz Adlington is adept at being there to take the pass from behind if needed.
Once the ball was in the circle, goals were largely assured with new player Rosie Leeming impressing with ten in the first half.
Catherine Hutchin’s agility and speed ensured she scored highly and Solutions were unable to contain her.
Complete consistency from Flames meant they increased the lead steadily with each quarter.
In defence, Sue Cooper and Liz Adlington blocked a number of potential goals and were highly effectively with backline passes and distributing the ball up the court.
Bernie Twigg was able to position herself skilfully and ensure the ball was fed to the shooters accurately and speedily.
Half-time saw Lucy Morris come on as goal attack and she was particularly effective at scoring from the rebound as well as being available to receive the ball in the centre third.
Kylee Charles made her presence felt as centre and her athleticism energised the team and helped ensure Flames’ dominance.
