MEMBERS of the public are being invited to play a starring role at Fontwell Racecourse on Tuesday, January 17.
From 5.30pm to 9pm BBC Stargazing LIVE will be holding a night of stargazing activities for people of all ages. The main grandstand will feature rocket launching, robots, space science demonstrations and talks by Chichester College’s science department. Expert astronomers from the South Downs Planetarium in Chichester will also be on hand to help people look through telescopes at a special ‘dark skies’ location.
There will be solar system activity cards for youngsters and star and moon guides to help beginners get to grips with astronomy.
